Mailbag with a twist: Answering the best question
I'm ready to conduct a deep dive on *your* question
Here at TrapSheet, my mission is to be genuinely unique with everything I write, so naturally my mailbag won’t look the same as what you’re accustomed to.
Because I have fewer than 200 subscribers at this stage and I’m one month into the Substack voyage, I’m not expecting to receive a litany of questions right now. And that’s cool.
What I intend to do is answer one question, the “best” question, in each mailbag article.
So feel free to ask a deep question that requires some research. I don’t necessarily need or want to simply post a two-paragraph response. I’m thinking normal article-length here.
I want you, the subscriber — and in this case, the subscriber with the best question — to feel your probing question was adequately answered to the best of my ability in typical TrapSheet style.
Respond below in the comment section with your question or tweet at me with the hashtag #TrapSheetMailbag so I start the process of determining the “best” question for this week.
If you had to create a starting 22 of simply your favorite players, who would be on it? Active players and retired players are both eligible for this exercise. As a Bills fan, I would of course be interested in a Bills-only edition, but I’m open to opening it up to all teams.
I like hearing what types of players appeal to NFL analysts I listen to - it helps identify the “brand” of football that is most appealing in their eyes, gives some more opportunities to connect with the person behind the analysis I enjoy reading/listening to, and is of course a fun excuse to remember some favorites.
Keep up the good work, love your data driven studies 👍
